ICE-RETENTION TIPS FROM THE MANUFACTURER

To ensure your food stays below 40 degrees Fahrenheit, surround it with ice to prolong its freshness. It is recommended by the FDA for safe food consumption. For best results, always place a layer of ice on top.

Coolers work by maintaining the average temperature of the items inside, so using plenty of ice will result in colder temperatures and longer-lasting ice. Remember to keep the lid closed to trap the cold air inside and prevent hot air from entering. Pre-chilling your food and drinks before placing them in the cooler will also help them last longer.

Keeping your cooler in the shade is important as direct sunlight and extreme heat can cause it to heat up faster. When organizing the contents of your cooler, layer food and ice alternately from bottom to top. Always make sure that ice is the top layer for maximum effectiveness. It is also beneficial to freeze or pre-chill all food before placing them in the cooler.

Our coolers are bear-resistant and have been certified by the IGBC. They are strong enough to withstand a bear for up to an hour when properly locked. With a size of 65 quarts, our coolers boast up to 8 days of ice retention, exceeding the performance of most premium priced coolers.

Featuring a capped drain with a garden hose compatibility, our hard coolers are made of heavy-duty polyethylene, urethane, polypropylene, and nylon rope handles. Additional features include two rope handles with storm gray injection molded grips, four serviceable feet, two bottle openers, two holes for locks (locks not included), and two latches that secure the lid.

The exterior dimensions of our coolers are 28.4 inches in length, 18.1 inches in width, and 17.5 inches in height. The interior dimensions range from 21 to 23 inches in length, 12 to 13.7 inches in width, and 13 inches in height. The coolers weigh 25.5 lbs.
